ENRICHING OPPORTUNITIES: Benfield Elementary students actively engage in standards-based lessons throughout the day. However, the school goes beyond academics, offering extra-curricular activities catering to various interests. Projects and artwork are proudly displayed in the hallways, turning it into a vibrant gallery that showcases the creativity and hard work of its young learners. Plenty of student-led groups organize events and drives with meaningful causes. Some support the Anne Arundel County Food Bank and the American Cancer Society exposing the youth to civic engagement. These complement the rigorous academic curriculum to help them discover their talents and develop a well-rounded character.

OUTDOOR CLASSROOMS: In 2017, Benfield Elementary School underwent a significant renovation to expand its number of classrooms. This update was designed to accommodate more enrollees and enhance the overall learning environment. The rooms surround a picturesque courtyard, with natural light streaming inside, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere conducive to learning. The outdoor spaces offer students opportunities to engage with nature and learn outside the traditional setting. The combination of indoor and outdoor learning areas supports diverse teaching methods and encourages exploration and appreciation of the natural world.

COMMUNITY SPIRIT: Benfield Elementary School boasts a collaborative environment between the staff, students, and parents. Teachers support each other and warmly welcome parent volunteers into their classrooms. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) further supports the academic and social objectives of the institution by organizing community events and evening family activities. There are also enrichment assemblies for specific grade levels providing students with exciting learning experiences. The strong community spirit creates an environment where everyone works together to achieve common goals, making the school a cherished part of the neighborhood.
